Workplace volunteering

Work place volunteering can help you to improve your employability, find a new purpose and increase your confidence. Opportunities are varied and could involve helping in groups, working in a charity shop learning customer services skills, leading activities or working in catering.

There’s more to volunteering than just giving your time. You’ll get to do something new and rewarding, discover hidden talents, make new friends, boost your CV as well as making a valuable contribution to our work. Examples of roles you may take on are;  

In charity shops, where your activities may include 

  • Supported till & cash training 

  • Pricing, sorting, fixing and checking of donations 

  • Researching and valuing items 

  • Window dressing and shop display 

In cafes, where your activities may include 

  • Supported till & cash training 

  • Serving and talking to  customers 

  • Preparing food 

  • Clearing tables 

Who can access this support?  

Our services are available to any person ages 18+ and living in Northamptonshire. Most of our services are free, however, some do incur a small cost.
